Herman Miller chairs are high-value ergonomic products with precision components and commercial-grade finishes.
We strongly encourage:

This helps avoid change-of-mind situations.
Change-of-Mind Returns
We understand preferences can change. However, due to the nature of high-value furniture:
Change-of-mind returns are subject to the following conditions:

Request must be made within 7 days of delivery

Item must be unused and in original condition
-
All original packaging must be retained
-
A 20% restocking fee applies to cover inspection and handling
-
Original delivery fees are non-refundable
-
Customer is responsible for return freight
Returned items will be inspected before approval.
Please note that custom orders, special finishes, bulk orders, and clearance items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:

A replacement or refund for a major failure

Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

Repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Situations Where Returns Cannot Be Accepted
Returns cannot be accepted in the following circumstances:

The item has been used beyond reasonable inspection

Original packaging or manual is not retained

The product has been modified or altered

Damage has occurred after delivery
Delivery & Risk Transfer
Once goods are delivered to the nominated address:

Risk transfers to the customer

Customers must ensure safe access and suitable space
We recommend inspecting the item at the time of delivery.
If you notice visible damage:

Note it with the courier immediately

Contact us within 72 hours with photos
Failure to report transit damage promptly may affect assessment.
Faulty or Defective Goods
If a product is faulty or not as described:

Contact us with photos and order details

We will assess the issue under Australian Consumer Law
Where a major failure is confirmed, you may choose a refund or replacement.
Where the issue is minor, we may repair or replace the item within a reasonable timeframe.
Warranty
Where a warranty is provided, it covers manufacturing defects under normal use for the applicable warranty period.
If you experience an issue, please contact us and we will assist with the warranty assessment process.
Warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse or improper use

Improper assembly or unauthorised modifications

Normal wear and tear over time

Accidental damage

Excessive wear resulting from unusually heavy or continuous use beyond normal use conditions
Warranty claims may require supporting documentation and inspection to determine eligibility.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds:

Exclude original shipping costs

Are processed to the original payment method

May take several business days depending on your financial institution
Restocking fees (where applicable) are deducted from the original purchase price.
